The Sony PMW EX1 records to SxS ExpressCard media and was the first in a new range of professional HD cameras from Sony. Designed to exploit the high performance of SxS PRO memory cards, it combines non-linear XDCAM workflow with HD quality images that are extremely high quality for  a compact camcorder and multiple frame rate recording capability (including 59.94i, 50i, and native 23.98P). The EX1 is also 1080i/720P switchable.
